Can your mind come out and play?

Anniversaries mark our point on the never ending cycle of birth and death.

They say that there is nothing new under the sun.

Yet. we scurry about to find out or experience it ourselves.

Where did that come from?

Can it really be true?

Is the mystery of life, man-made?

Is Freemasonry but another “Dead Poets Society”, teaching a culture of life?

If we can believe in mathematics [which has not failed us yet] there is Infinite truth. In other words, we will never run out of truths to discover!

As far as truth, something can be true whither or not we wish to believe it or not. And true can exist even when we over look it. Our experience & knowledge often affect our abilities to see or understand. A child & adult see the world or a movie, for that matter, much differently,  And reading different things from it.

For you must know truth before you can see it.

Some trace the ideas of Masonry to the popular story of the 16th century of “New Atlantis by Frances Bacon and Hiram to Cato or James the righteous. There are those who say that Masonry makes Good men better had nothing over on my mother.  She knew the benefits of personal associations on behaviors. Not sure where she got the idea but can traced the idea to that of the ancient Greeks.  Wonder where they got it from?

That takes use back to the enduring debate did you learn it from some type of exposure to the idea?, perhaps an experience of one kind or another?, or is there some type of human Psychology that transcends the boundaries of culture, language and geographies?

I always wondered about being given ideas and rules of thumb that I was sure I’d never use. But I guess ideas are like eggs, we don’t crack them till we’re hungry.

Studying Mythology or myth making {by myth I am referring not to story that are untrue but those that are used as a method to teach lessons] were different allegorical stories from around the world exist with reoccurring themes.

There are many creation stories including my favorite from the Rig Veda.

It asserts thatin the beginning there was no air, no heavens, no water, no death and no immortality. Night and day did not exist, only the breathing of the One. Then somehow creation occurred.  No one knows how this happened, and the Riga Veda speculates that possibly even the One does not know.

Then there is the character,  Adamu of the Babylonians, the Hindus had Adama & Heva then 2,000 years later came Adam & Eve. All with the same story.  Does Adam’s character represent the “life force” ?  Then Eve represent one side of that force; [yin + yang = life force].

Now what do these women have in common?

Mary, Maia, Maya, Myrrha, Maya Maria and Mariama.

All are characters in virgin birth stories.

Does this virgin birth represent the birth of our conscious from our animal nature [a separation from mother earth] to a higher state of consciousness & compassion?

What of the Masonic myths?

What are they teaching?

Are the just teaching parallel myths in a new way?

There are many Masonic trinities to be found.

By use of the Pythagorean Theorem we are  reminded of the triunity of male +female=son infact may slides used in the USA show man , women and child .

Youth, Manhood, and Old age is reminiscent of the Greek triform or hindu trimurti, creator- preserver & destroyer

The widow’s son;

Sorry Queen lovers but the ancient usage was for those reborn out of their animal nature as myth would have it, a Fatherless son who becomes the savior of the world.

Society’s pursuit to lift us from our basic animal instinct to a plane of compassion. Where our minds direct our behavior. God’s  unfinished business

Following or progression, we become divine beings or perfected humanity, thus we are defining divinity not divinity defining us!
